£2,000.00Price

An extract of 135,000 words taken from a one month diary written by Ed Gold on his visit to the Welsh colony in Patagonia, southern Argentina. Gold went to Patagonia in 2006 to document the Welsh diaspora in the Chubut Valley and wrote this diary for up to 12 hours each day over his first month, as well as taking photographs. On Gold's return to the UK in 2009 after a 2 and a 1/2 year stay in the Chubut Valley, David Jury of Fox Ash Press in Essex set about making this limited edition of 50 copies, letterpress book and which took 6 years to produce. There are 12 dropped-in photo colour prints in the book, behind gate-folds, which uses hand-made watercolour paper and hand stitching.

This book was bought by The British Library for its special collection and is aimed at the serious book collector. Welsh Patagonia has appeared at the CODEX Book Fair in San Francsico, USA every 2nd year and is highly regarded.
